With an ear for blending contemporary and traditional influences, Paul Hemmings brings a fresh approach to the guitar trio. By combining the warmth of vintage instruments with vibrant space-age effects, Hemmings and his group create a truly unique sound as they explore the music of the twentieth century and beyond. The trio has released two albums on Leading Tone Records: In & Out, featuring the tenor saxophone of Eric Alexander, and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Live!). Their third album, recorded with avant garde saxophone pioneer John Tchicai features all new compositions and is due out at the end of 2007.
